What is an oversized and/or special transport?

Oversized transport refers to the movement of a load exceeding the maximum limits prescribed by law for movement on public roads:

  • sizes: length, width or height above the permissible limits,
  • weight: the axle load or the total weight exceeds the legal thresholds.

A special transport includes those transports that require additional security measures, escorts or special permits, such as:

  • transport of dangerous goods (ADR),
  • transport of fragile or valuable materials,
  • military or high-security transport.

Dimensiuni transport agabaritic – ce spune legislația

Transportul agabaritic se aplică atunci când vehiculul sau încărcătura depășesc dimensiunile și greutatea maxime admise pentru circulația rutieră standard.
Iată valorile prevăzute de legislația din România și Uniunea Europeană:
  • Lățime maximă admisă: 2,55 m (2,60 m pentru vehicule frigorifice). Peste această limită → transport agabaritic.
  • Înălțime maximă: 4 m.
  • Lungime maximă: 12 m (autovehicul simplu) sau 16,5 m (ansamblu tractor + semiremorcă).
  • Greutate maximă admisă: 40 tone (pentru ansambluri standard, cu variații în funcție de numărul de axe).

Atunci când se depășesc aceste limite, este necesară obținerea unei autorizații speciale de transport și, în anumite cazuri, însoțirea cu mașini de escortă.
